This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the country’s largest local Citizens Advice delivering advice services to over 20,000 people a year.

The role: 

The advice service supervisor role involves working with colleagues to manage the day to day delivery and quality of a busy service.  You will supervise a large and diverse team of paid and volunteer advisers, admin and receptionists to ensure we provide a high quality customer service.  In this role you will support advisers to offer advice via varied service channels including face to face drop in, telephone, outreach, video, and digital. 

In addition to the requisite advice knowledge, we are looking for commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility and good time management skills.

It will be desirable for the applicant to have previous experience of managing a team of volunteers as well as working in an advice setting but is not essential.

Bridlington or Beverley will be your designated place of work. However, in light of the Covid19 restrictions, there may be times where you are requested to work remotely from home. You must be able to work remotely in a confidential space at home.

About us: Citizens Advice Hull and East Riding (CAH&ER) is an innovative and successful service which puts clients first and focuses on delivering high quality advice services via face to face, telephone and digital channels to over 20,000 people a year.  We help people overcome their problems.  Our advice is confidential, free and independent and covers a wide range to subjects including benefits, debt and money management, housing, employment, family and legal matters. We use the evidence of our clients’ experiences to campaign for change. We are a local independent charity operating from four offices and extensive outreach sessions across the city of Hull and the East Riding.  We employ approximately 80 staff supported by over 100 volunteers.
