Talk Money Week 2026

It’s Talk Money Week, and we’re working with our local partners to encourage everyone to take one action towards feeling more informed, confident and in control of their money.

Talk Money Week is a yearly campaign by Money & Pensions Service encouraging people to have more open conversation about their finances – from pocket money to pensions – and to continue these conversations all year-round.

This year’s theme is It All Counts, focusing on realistic, manageable actions.

Many across the UK are feeling under pressure when it comes to their finances, often for reasons beyond their control. But when it comes to money, actions of all sizes can make a meaningful difference.

Whether it’s speaking to a lender before repayments become a problem, checking if you’re entitled to benefits you haven’t claimed, or starting a conversation about a money worry with someone you trust – It All Counts.

Check out the videos from our team members Oliver, Adam, Lewis and Julie below to find out how our local charity can help with everything from debt and benefits to housing, employment and consumer issues. They also explain that anyone living in Hull or the East Riding of Yorkshire can access our services and outline the kind of practical financial support we can offer, when you should think about getting in touch with us – and why seeking help early can make a real difference.

And while we know most people have heard of Citizens Advice, but how many know about the breadth and impact of our work with local partners to make a difference to people who need it most? And did you know we’re also using local research and evidence to campaign for changes at a local and national level?
