We’re an independent local charity which has been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice to people in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire for more than 85 years. We help people overcome their problems and advocate for change to improve lives.

Last year, we helped over 24,000 people in Hull and East Riding resolve more than 112,000 issues. For every £1 invested in our services, society benefits by over £20.

Our dedicated staff and army of amazing volunteers give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. We provide advice on issues such as: debt and money, welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, employment rights, energy and consumer issues.

We can help you to save money on your bills, make sure you’re not missing out on benefits you’re entitled to and find support for you if you’re in debt. Our team can make sure you’re getting the best prices and discounts and talk to your supplier on your behalf to help you solve any issues.

We are pleased to be working with our colleagues at Citizens Advice Sheffield to offer advice appointments in BSL at our Beverley office every Thursday between 1pm and 3pm.
