National recognition for two of our wonderful volunteers

As part of the celebrations for the Citizens Advice 85th anniversary, national Citizens Advice launched the Special Mention Awards, recognising volunteers for their contributions within local offices and serving communities.

Not one but two of our volunteers were picked for a Special Mentions Award – Hilary Barclay, who volunteers on reception at the Goole office, and Jeff Reynolds, our current longest-serving volunteer, who is a volunteer adviser at the Hull office.

Congratulations to them both! They have now received a recognition letter, a pin badge from national Citizens Advice and a gift card each.

Of course, all our volunteers deserve a special mention and if we could have nominated them all we would have. So this is a good opportunity to again thank all our amazing volunteers – we couldn’t do what we do without you!

Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and bring with them different skills and experiences. One thing they have in common is that they find volunteering to be enjoyable and rewarding.
