Hull University Volunteer Pop Up Stall
We have had a great day at University of Hull talking to students about what we do and our Volunteer Adviser opportunities. Our Trustee Laura Milner, pictured above, took time out to show her support for volunteering and for Trustees’ Week 2021. We also had some of our volunteers who study at Hull Uni, pop by and talk to other students. It was great they were available to share their experiences. Many students wanted to know more about what we do, and how they could fit training and volunteering in with their studies. Telisha (Volunteer Coordinator) hosted the event, she said “It was really great to share what we do. There can be an assumption that Citizens Advice is known by everyone, that is not necessarily the case, it is important to help people find out about the service, what we can help with. I have spoken to so many students today, it has been brilliant. Hopefully they will follow this up and apply to become volunteers.”
We would like to say a big thank you to HUSU Student Led Volunteering for hosting us today, to Laura Milner for her support and of course to our Hull Uni Volunteers for coming along to share your experiences and encouragement.
