If you receive any of the following benefits you will be eligible for the £150 credit to your electricity account:

  • Housing Benefit
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • Income Support
  • Pension Credit (both the Guarantee Credit and Savings Credit elements will count)
  • Universal Credit

How do I get the Warm Home Discount?

You must make sure you are named on your electricity bill by Sunday, August 24, 2025. The person who is named on the electricity account for your household must be the person who is receiving one of the above benefits.

There is no longer a criteria of having a low EPC rating or having high energy costs. So as long as you receive a means-tested benefit and are on the electricity account for your household by August 24, 2025, you will be eligible.

If you need any help checking your eligibility, please call our Energy Team on 0800 4480721 Mon to Fri 9am -4pm.
