Warm Homes Discount

Just an update on the Warm Homes Discount. As previously emailed, the scheme is now automatic for those who meet the eligibility.

This is:

· Those on guarantee pension credit

· Those on low-income benefits who are identified as having high energy costs through a data-matching exercise run by the DWP

You can check whether you meet the high energy cost criteria online: https://www.gov.uk/check-if-youre-eligible-for-warm-home-discount. You will need to know the size and age of the property to do this.

Those eligible should receive a letter between November 2022 and January 2023. Most households should receive this automatically, but some clients need to call the helpline by 28th February to confirm their details.

If you believe they are eligible and haven’t received a letter by mid-January. In that case, you need to call the Warm Homes Discount helpline before 28th February 2023. The number is 0800 107 8002.
